White Cap Base Coat
1. Prior to installation, review the Phoenix Coatings Standard Operating Procedure associated with your roof resurfacing project.
2. Inspect and complete a Phoenix Moisture Assessment of the existing roof system for structural deficiencies and needed repairs according to local building code requirements.
3. Repair all deteriorating membrane, ponding water areas, deteriorating seams, pitch issues, condensation lines, flashing deficiencies, and penetrations prior to installation.
4. Clean the existing roofing substrate according to Phoenix Standard Operating Procedures and allow to dry prior to installation.
5. Ensure that weather and temperature conditions are suitable prior to the installation of WhiteCap Base Coat.
6. Conduct adhesion testing per Phoenix Standard Operating Procedures prior to WhiteCap Base Coat installation.
7. If recommended in Phoenix Standard Operating Procedures, prime existing roofing substrate(s) prior to WhiteCap Base Coat Installation.1. Apply WhiteCap Base Coat at a rate of 120-130 square feet per gallon (12-14 wet mils).
3. Allow to cure to 12 hours.
4. Inspect WhiteCap Base Coat for defects, flaws or areas of insucient coverage, and correct unsatisfactory conditions. If necessary, correct and allow to cure before TopCoat installation.
5. Complete the Phoenix Liquid-Applied Commercial Roofing System by applying WhiteCap Top Coat according to both labeling and Phoenix Standard Operating Procedures and Original Roof Type.
