Have you been introduced to our Mold Severity Index (MSI) yet? This is a tool that helps contractors define the mold levels of a zone within a property. It is based off of the conditions defined by the IICRC but goes more in depth so the best application can be practiced to treat the zone and yield the best results!
This is a quick break down of MSIs
MSI-1 Remediation
To start, we want to tell you how to remediate an MSI-1 zone, which can quickly be described as elevated mold spore levels. This is the first point where remediation should take place. It is important to act at this point in order to prevent visible mold growth, which takes place in MSI-2 through 5.
In order to get the best results we recommend practicing Dutrion Fumigation within the zone to successfully remove mold spores and prevent further growth. This recommendation is based off of the EPA 2013 Laboratory Evaluation of the Efficacy of Chlorine Dioxide... If you would like to learn more, about the EPA study, look at this document!
